A Letter to all Falcons
The following is a letter originally sent by Chris, Jordan, and myself to a group of our friends and colleagues in January of 2015. Many of the addressees are now part of this team today.
While our LLC officially formed in May 2015 and we began operating in November of that year, pre-planning by the original founding team began way back in late 2014. That is also excluding some of the misadventures that took place before this final incarnation of Sneaky Falcon was born.
The Letter Summoning the Falcons
The day has come. Sneaky Falcon is born. Today we invite you to share the beginnings of this company.
We cordially invite you to join the Sneaky Falcon Enterprises Investment Club, LLC. Sean, Jordan, and Chris have been hard at work preparing the attached materials for your review. Please read over the documents, and decide whether this is a venture in which you’d like to participate.
Attached are two documents. The SFE Membership Agreement And Bylaws document includes member expectations and responsibilities, as well as other club rules and regulations. The Purpose and Investment Guidelines document is a summary of the philosophy we have regarding investments, operational requirements, and other miscellaneous thoughts.
Neither document needs to be signed at this time. We understand that this is a significant investment of your time and money and want you to make an informed decision that is best for you and the company.
You all have been carefully selected as potential founding members of this prestigious membership. We trust in your judgement, and your ability to contribute positively to this investment club. In the future, we may include additional members, but for now, those invited in this email are it.
Please take some time to carefully review these documents, and decide if this is something you are seriously interested in. Because we are.
Feel free to ask us any questions you may have. We will give you by March 1st to make this choice. If we do not hear from you, we will assume you are not interested.
Thank you for your time. We hope you will join us in our quest to make Sneaky Falcon a reality.
Chris, Jordan & Sean
Why it was Important
Despite a few non-responses, as well as a conflict of interest denial, this letter resulted in very positive feedback and it really kick-started the Sneaky Falcon journey to where we are today.
Along with the documents mentioned in the body, our invitation letter triggered a series of meetings and a ton of discussion necessary to flesh out our business. Chris, Jordan, and I put in a lot of work upfront before we brought our idea to the prospective team. This allowed us to present a more concrete vision and provide tactical next steps, taking the burden off of the rest of the potential members.
